My Approach to Hypnobirthing
I am a mother of two small children, a hypnotherapist, a hypnobirthing practitioner and a self-proclaimed mindfulness addict! I am passionate about facilitating self-empowerment and self-healing by bringing mindfulness based holistic practices that encourage best practices of self-care to parents. I want to support mums and dads like yourself; who want to have a positive birth experience full of joy and peacefulness.
Why should I consider Hypnobirthing®?
People who are drawn to HypnoBirthing® have long been searching for a way to give birth confidently and as calmly, safely, and gently as possible, whether they have chosen to birth in a hospital, a birthing center, or at home. Until HypnoBirthing®, this kind of birthing almost seemed unattainable for the general population.
Do people do things under hypnosis that are against their morals or values?
No. Marie F. Mongan, Director of the HypnoBirthing Institute, says that with the aid of hypnosis, a woman can bring her body into a state of deep relaxation in which the body’s muscles can work the way they’re meant to during childbirth. She says it feels similar to daydreaming, or the feeling you get when you are lost in a book or movie. People who’ve used this technique report feeling relaxed, calm, aware, and in control.
What do i learn?
Through a very simple program of self-hypnosis and education, healthy, low-risk women, as well as women who need medical assistance because of special circumstances, learn to dismiss fear- based stories, misinformation, and birthing myths; and they are helped to see birth as normal. They learn to trust that their bodies and learn how to bring their babies into the world in the calm and gentle way that Nature intended.
