HYPNOBIRTHING CoacH

My Story

I am an accredited Mongan Method Hypnobirthing teacher currently based in Bethesda, Maryland. I was inspired to leave my career and train as a Hypnobirthing Practioner after having my daughter in 2013.

My first pregnancy and delivery was extremely difficult I had many complications and I was unprepared for my delivery which led to many complications to my body after the birth. I was determined to learn about a new approach that could help me understand my body better during pregnancy and delivery. I was determined to have a peaceful and calm birth with my second child. Hypnobirthing has changed my life in so many ways, but more importantly it empowered me with the tools and techniques I needed to have a calm and confident birth – the way I wanted!

I trained in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy through the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. I also have a postgraduate diploma in business from Oxford University. My passion is to promote meditation, mindfulness programs, holistic practices, hypnotherapy and hypnobirthing services which encourage best practices of self-care.

“My hypnotherapy session allowed me a reprieve from my Chronic pain and gave me coping mechanisms to use when the pain was too much. It was a life changing experience and I am grateful for Anuka and her unique talent!” Monica Nelson

Why Work With Me?

  • I am a firm believer that the human body wants to heal itself and given the correct tools it will.
  • If you want to feel in control over your concerns in your life and want to have the tools to manage and the ability of control these concerns.
  • Sometimes pregnant mums or hypnotherapy clients come to me with a feeling of loss of control over what they are experiencing. This negative influence of energy can lead to many further health problems.
  • If you want to empower yourself with knowledge of a range of techniques and calming methods and other useful lifestyle skills which can help mums learn to gain control over their delivery and individual clients to gain further control over their health concerns  and reduce stress in their lives.
